Hands on learning
Children at the Virginia City Highlands Co Op learn with their hands as much as possible!
Preplanned lessons based on ability
The mentor at Virginia City Highlands Co Op is very skilled at planning lessons based on each individual child's needs. You'll see, she uses multiple modalities in order to give the children variety in learning styles.
Online curriculum or parent appointed
Ms. Tristan uses an online program in which parents have direct access to check on their child's progress. Members are also allowed to send their own curriculum and Ms. Tristan is there to mentor them as they complete assignments designated by parents.
Farm Fun!
Farm life is a daily experience for members of Virginia City Highlands Co Op! Children learn how to safely handle and take care of farm animals. Children participate in daily chores as well.
